HYROX Atlantic Series – FAQ

ALL HYROX ATLANTIC SERIES RACES ARE INDEPENDENT AFFILIATE EVENTS, AND ARE HOSTED ORGANIZED AND RAN BY THE GYMS THEMSELVES. THESE ARE NOT HYROX HEADQUARTERS OFFICIAL RACES.
Do I have to compete in all three races?

Nope! One race is plenty—and you’ll still have the chance to qualify for the Championships at Blended Athletics. You can compete in just one event, or mix it up by doing one as an individual and another as a mixed doubles team.
⚠️ We don’t recommend registering for two divisions at the same event—heat times won’t be coordinated and it’s unlikely things will line up the way you hope.

Each race has limited capacity to keep the experience smooth and high energy:

  • 30 Open Men

  • 30 Open Women

  • 30 Mixed Doubles Teams
Spots will go fast. Register early.

Not at all. Each race is designed by the hosting gym using open weights, but every course is unique to their space and setup. Expect different flows, energy, and experiences at each location.

At each event, the Top 5 in each division (Men, Women, and Mixed Doubles) will earn an invite to the Atlantic Championships—hosted at Blended Athletics in September, using Pro Division weights.

Yes! You can update your teammate’s name after registering. Just make sure all updates are made before registration closes for your selected event.

Each gym will publish movement standards and course flow ahead of race day. These are based on the HYROX open division standards, with minor modifications as needed to fit the facility. You’ll receive a movement guide once registered.

Absolutely. These races are built for all fitness levels—from first-time racers to seasoned athletes. You’ll be placed in a heat with someone of a similar fitness level so you can push and pace each other.

Solo Heats at Blended Athletics are 3 athletes per time slot and are typically grouped by gender and fitness level to keep the competition fair and motivating. Teams will run in two teams per heat. You’ll receive your heat time the week of the event.

Plan to arrive first thing in the morning for the Athlete Briefing, where will will go over the race layout and movements. It is your chance to ask questions and familiarize yourself with the course. That gives you time to checkin, warm up, and soak in the energy. Your exact heat time will be emailed prior to the event.

Yes! Spectators are encouraged and the energy is even better when the crowd is hyped. Bring your crew—they can cheer you on, film your big finish, or check out the vendors and vibe.

Bring a water bottle, gym clothes, your game face—and maybe a change of shirt for after. We’ll take care of the rest.

Each location is different, Stay tuned to the gym’s socials for specific details closer to race day.
